      i just did it, firmware 4.0 release today in australia and its working .. i jailbreak my iphone 3g with latest modem

    My3GS iphone is now at 3.1.3 jailbroken with spirit. I have saved my blob for 3.1.3 and 4.0.1 locally and @ cydia.

    How do I proceed further from this point if I want to get it to the latest 4.0.1 jailbreak.
    Read that snowbreeze does not support if it is spirit broken

    Can I just connect to itune and update the official 4.0.1 FW and later use jailbreakme from comex?
    Read somewhere that I also need to install ultrasn0w from Cydia (repo666.ultrasn0w.com) but not sure the resaon for this?

    Hope my load of apps like winterboard, backgrounder, sbsettings etc do not screw. Will it?
