   my iphone is 3gs ios4 with bb 5.13.4 .

       is this tool can jailbreak iphones stuck in emergancy call mode or only the offical activated,
       is’t easy with one click like spirit on 3gshit 3.1.3,

     If your 3Gs is still in 3.1.3 use Spirit JB(new and old bootrom supported, must be activated also). There was this link that Spirit is now compatible with 9.2. But I think its better to stay away from 9.2 and find the previous itunes(9.1) installer.

     If you already upgraded your itunes and upgraded your 3.1.3 to iOS 4, keep in mind before JBing it, you must know if your device is old bootrom or new bootrom. And must not be spirit jailbreaked. Because the available present JBs for iOS 4 must meet these conditions before you decide to JB it, or else it may screw(infinite loop booting) your idevice. It would also be advisable to have save your 3.1.3 SSH files before you upgraded to iOS 4. A good example would be like the scenario today, lots of people complained about the signal depletion of iOS 4,some people reverted back to 3.1.3.

       thanks my friend for helping
       currently my 3GS is OLD bootrom and its already on ios4 its has been fully restored to ios4 because I messed up with it and got it to stuck on the apple logo so i had to restore
       and because i didn’t have my SHSH backup i cannot return to 3.1.3 (yeah i was a rocky back then)
       i don’t know what they used to jailbreak it because i baught it already jailbreaked..
       so i tried to jailbreak it using snowbreeze 1.6.1 by creating a custom firmware and i got an error in the restore process.
       so i restored it back to ios4 now
       also, activision is no problem i have a sim-card that works

       Do you think i can jailbreak my iphone? maybe i did something wrong in the jailbreaking process

   I’m using 3GS upgrade from OS 3.1.3 to OS 4.0, with bb 5.13.04, so can I jailbreak my i phone now and how? Previously I jailbroken OS 3.1.3 with spirit. I found pwnage tool able to jailbreak 3GS, OS 4 but it mentioned for Old BootROM only + Already jailbroken NOT with Spirit jailbreak.
   So do I need to wait spirit jailbreak for 3GS OS4 and when ?

   Hello,

   I have a 3GS on 3.1.2 with baseband 05.11.07 and bootrom 359.3

   I am confused with all of the options for os 4.0. Could someone suggest to me the best option, should I just wait for a jailbreak to be released (as I don’t need my phone to be unlocked) or should I upgrade with a custom ipsw ?

     if you’ve SHSH blobs saved for 3.1.2 then go ahead try the Sn0wBreeze 1.7..
     else wait for the Spirit update (The way for official carrier users)

     If you have iPhone 3GS 4.0, 3.1.3 or 3.1.2 (It doesn’t matter new or old bootrom) and if you trying to jailbreak and unlock it, here is the easiest way to jailbreak and unlock it. If you don’t have your SHSH saved, no problem we will save the SHSH first then jailbreak and unlock it!

     What you need to use this method

     1. iPhone 3GS (New or Old bootrom) with any firmware.

     2. Have access to a SIM card that will allow your iPhone 3GS to activate through iTunes.

     Software You Need:
     1. iTunes 9.2
     2. TinyUmbrella-4.01.01
     3. Sprit (Old version)

     Step 1: Modifying the Host file

     Open Notepad with administrator privileges and then right click on the icon of notepad and click on “Open as administrator”
     Navigate to C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\ and locate “hosts” file.
     Add the following line at the end of the document and save it: 74.208.105.171 gs.apple.com

     Step 2: Download all software you need

     Step 3: Save SHSH file using TinyUmbrella 4.01.01

     Connect your iPhone 3GS to your computer and activate it using iTunes (If your iPhone 3GS is currently on recovery mode, don’t worry. You can come out from recovery mode using umbrella-4.01.01).

     Open the TinyUmbrella 4.01.01

     Click the “Save my SHSH” button. It will save the current SHSH file on iPhone 3GS.

     Now click on “Advanced options”. You will get some more options.

     Click on “Device/Version” drop down menu. You will get all iPhone 3GS, iPad and iPod firmware version.

     Click on “iPhone 3GS 3GS 3.1.3” version.

     Click “Reset” button on right side of the window.

     Click the option “Save my SHSH” button again.

     Click the “Display SHSHs” button. You will see the saved SHSH files.

     Now close the TinyUmbrella window.

     Step 4: Jailbreak using Spirit

     Now we are going to jailbreak the iPhone 3GS 3GS using Spirit.
     Open the Spirit.
     Click “Jailbreak” button after a second you will see “Jailbreak is successful”.

     Step 5: Unlock using ultrasn0W on Cydia

     Now we are going to unlock the iPhone 3GS 3GS using Cydia.
     On your iPhone 3GS 3GS, open Cydia.

     Go to “Manage” option.

     Tap on “Sources” option.

     Press “Edit” button on right top of the screen.

     Press “Add” button on left top of the screen. It will ask to enter the source. Write this line: repo666.ultrasn0w.com and

     press “Add Source” button. It will download the link.

     Now press “Done” button.

     Tap on repo666.ultrasn0w.com link and install it.

     Press “Reboot the device” button. It will restart the iPhone 3GS 3GS.

     Unlock is done.

   i have a ipone 3gs model mc133x modem firmware 05.13.04 version 4.0.1 can this phone be unloked yet or am i still waiting dont now weather old bootrom or new a bit confusd did have a tetherd jailbreak on it then battery went flat and had to reboot and update now i dont now what to do and am oversease can only use original sim any ansers pease reply to jadcasidy@hotmail.com thanks

    I have a iPhone3Gs firmware 4.0.1(8A306) Base Band 05.13.04-6.4_M3S2. It has never been jailbroken. I do have the current shsh and past shsh and firmware iPhone3GS 4.0 (8A293) I am running the “new Boot Rom” I have looked for days for a jailbreak any suggestions or has one not been released yet?

    Hope you can Help.
