Unlock iPhone 4 iOS 4.0.1 with UltraSn0w 1.0-1 (Baseband 01.59.00)
UltraSn0w 1.0-1 is out to unlock for iPhone 4. This guide is on how to unlock iPhone 4 with UltraSn0w on iOS 4.0.1/4.0 baseband 01.59.00. iPhone 4 unlock instructions can be found below.
IMPORTANT

Let’s unlock iPhone 4 with UltraSn0w 1.0-1 unlock on baseband 01.59.00.
How to Unlock iPhone 4 with UltraSn0w
***T-Mobile USA users please disable 3G network first.*** Settings >General >Network and turn the “Enable 3G” switch to OFF.
Assuming that your iPhone 4 is already jailbroken:
- Open the Cydia.
- Go to manage Tab at bottom.
- Hit the big Sources button.
- Hit the Edit button on Top-Right
- Then Hit the Add button on Top-Left
- Then Enter the following URL: http://repo666.ultrasn0w.com and hit the Add Source button.
- Once the Source is added to the Cydia, hit the big return to Cydia button at bottom of the screen and then Done button.
- Go to Search tab and search for ultrasn0w and install it.
Installing UltraSn0w will unlock iPhone 4 iOS 4.0.1, 4.0 with baseband 01.59.00. Once the installation is completed, reboot your iPhone 4.
Voila! You have unlocked iPhone 4 baseband 01.59.00 with UltraSn0w 1.0-1 and can use SIM from any carrier now.

Source is not getting added. Is it ultrasnow.com or ultrasn0w.com ? When trying with ultrasn0w.com I get an error – did not find repository. When tried ultrasnow.com system is giving http://repo666.ultraslow.com sub-process/bin/zip2 returned error n updating sources shows downloading packages and no progress is happening.

I did unlocked my iphone3gs but when i tried to download apps, it’s black screen twice. Then I have to restore the iOS again and jailbreak and unlock again.
Can anybdy help us out this issue?

Yup this is the repo site, and yes at first it says error. Reboot your cydia, then the repo will now he working, click it then the ultrasn0w app will appear, then press install, aftersometime u will reboot it.

Guys… i guess im the only one who upset about this breaking news. i have an iphone 4. but it wont go to homescreen. its required the original owner to activate the phone because the itune ask for billing zip code and 4 last digits Social security number. i dont have all of that. i try to use the phonebook sim and it still wont go to homescreen. im really upset now. i hope the DeV team will help me.. thanks

i guess the phone u bought it lock to one of the phone operater. U need to jailbreak the phone first before u can go to the homescreen.
How can I jailbreak it if the jailbreakme only works with the activated phone?
I thought you just need a at&t simcard, for 3gs atleast.
i have jailbreaked my iPhoine 4 (at&t), then i went to cydia and i added the source :http://repo666.ultrasn0w.com , BUT im getting only ultrasn0w 0.93 for 3g and 3gs not ultrasn0w 1.0-1 for the iphone 4 and all iphone’s.
i tried many time and i installed ios 4.01 and made the jailbreak and restarted my iphone , but im always getting ultrasn0w 0.93 NOT 1.0-1 , can anyone help me with this problem ??? is it activation problem?

I think u need to cut ur sim to micro sim…I think one of the deva did it..I’m not sure who..either sherif_hashim or planetbeing..go and look at their Twitter acct

It’ very successful. Just place the orginal ATT microsim on the T-mobile sim, sketch the shape into the T-mobile orginal sim, and cut it. Just make sure don’t cut the chip, and remaining the position of chip respectively.

KalinkiOne … yep i can confirm to all people who complaining to Apple for the Iphone 4 battery life. That’s not Apple it’s ultrasnow, we are actually to friend with a Iphone 4 which has been unlocked via ultrasnow and two other friend who has a factory unlocked and my conclusion ultrasnow it’s the problem. Our friend laughing at us because their iphone can last for a couple days even if they use 3g etc …. Mine last only for a day, they asked me how to jailbreak, i told them to use jailbreakme. Call me back 1 hour later telling me their battery doesn’t last has it should be. I told them to remove ultrasnow because it’s automatically add during the jailbreak and they don’t need that cause their iphone are factory unlock. So now everything is fine now for them but all people with ultrasnow still have the same problem, i hope the ultrasnow update fix the battery problem.

Everything work when you unlock the iphone, but i did have a issue yesterday on a AT&T iphone. I activate it but as soon i insert a different simcard it desactivate it and a message appear : the card you insert is different that the one you use to activate your phone, reconnect to itunes to reactivate. So useless, i don’t know if i’m the only one who experience that ? Or maybe it’s a new kind of anti-hacking from apple server. I did activate then jailbreak and unlock and as soon i put my operator sim card it desactivate the iphone but i can see on the top left corner my operator and the signal but useless because the phone is on emergency call. I never experience that before and don’t want to try on another iphone and to be stuck on the emergency call. Anyone has this problem ?
hi every one im from Mozambique Africa…i using 3gs i was stuck in emrgency call, i didnt have the at&t but for luck i tried one vodacom sim and it activated thats the only sim card that is working… i was on 3.1.3…im now on ios4…i did all the jailbreakme prossess, i have Cydia, i installed the ultrasnow 1.0.1 & 1.1.1 to try another sim cards but didnt work….can some 1 help me.

my fone version 4.0.2 but it is the same baseband 01.59.00 . somebody have some idea to jailbreak n unclock it. i can find my shsh 4.0.1 to downgrade it. version 4.0.2 is belong with my fone when i purchas it from apple store. thanks alot to have new thing so far.
If you iPhone came with 4.0.2 OTB then wait for a new jailbreak tool.

Hi! Alright, so I have IOS 4.3.5 and have jailbroken my phone but can’t seem to unlock it using this program? Is it that the firmware is too recent? Do I need to revert to an earlier version? Is there a different unlocking app I can use? I really don’t want to get a new phone while living abroad!
