Unlock iOS 4.0 05.13.04 Baseband with UltraSn0w 0.93

Dev-Team has just released UltraSn0w unlock for iOS 4.0 baseband 05.13.04 on iPhone 3GS and iPhone 3G. It means you can unlock iOS 4 05.13.04 baseband with Ultrasn0w. In this guide you’ll learn how to unlock baseband 05.13.04 using UltraSn0w.

IMPORTANT:

  • UltraSn0w 0.93 can unlock baseband 04.26.08, baseband 05.11.07, baseband 05.12.01 and latest baseband 05.13.04.How to: check your iPhone Baseband
  • Can unlock firmware iOS 4.0, 3.1.3, 3.1.2, 3.1, 3.0
  • iPhone 3GS & iPod Touch 3G owners (especially if you used Spirit for your first JB) should stay away from iOS4 for now
  • Your iPhone must be jailbroken. All jailbreak Guides are linked below

Let’s unlock iOS 4.0 05.13.04 baseband on iPhone 3Gs and iPhone 3G.

Unlock iOS 4.0 05.13.04 Baseband with UltraSn0w 0.93

T-Mobile USA users please disable 3G network first.

  • Open the Cydia.
  • Go to manage Tab at bottom.
  • Hit the big Sources button.

ultrasn0w unlock 0.93

  • Hit the Edit button on Top-Right
  • Then Hit the Add button on Top-Left
  • Then Enter the following URL: http://repo666.ultrasn0w.com and hit the Add Source button.

  • Once the Source is added to the Cydia, hit the big return to Cydia button at bottom of the screen and then Done button.
  • Go to Search tab and search for ultrasn0w and install it.

Installing UltraSn0w 0.93 will unlock iPhone 3GS and iPhone 3G running iOS 4.0 with baseband 04.26.08 to 05.13.04. Once the installation is completed, reboot your iPhone.

Voila! You have unlocked your iPhone 3GS, 3G baseband 05.13.04 and can use SIM from any carrier now.

      Yes U can go to cydia findout UltraSn0w and Installing UltraSn0w 0.93 will unlock iPhone 3GS and iPhone 3G running iOS 4.0 with baseband 04.26.08 to 05.13.04. Once the installation is completed, reboot your iPhone.

        i did already reinstalled the ultrasn0w then reboot it and after that i inserted my sim and its still got the same.. ” different SIM detected”just slide for emergency again. but i notice i seeing the cellular name and its signal bars, by the way im from philippines.i dont think if thats the cause

          Hi,

          I’ve been experiencing the same problem and been restoring my iPhone for more than 5 times now, still seeing the message. Following the iPhone Activation Without Original SIM Guide doesn’t apply to all iPhones, and I dunno why, but now I get my phone working well. See below.

          Use redsn0w from iPhone dev team.
          1. Restore your iPhone to 4.0.1 from iTunes.
          2. Use redsn0w by pointing to the fw 4.0, not 4.0.1 (this will hactivate your iPhone) then you don’t need to activate from iTunes anymore. So you need to have both fw 4.0 and fw 4.0.1 in place to do.
          3. Go to Cydia, let it update the necessaries. Sometimes, it’s a must to update things before you can do other things. Reboot, if required.
          *** If you’re on T-Mobile USA, disable 3G.
          4. Go to Cydia again, add repo666.ultrasn0w.com, install ultrasn0w, reboot. This will allow you to use any carrier SIM. Bravo!!!

          hope this helps you and others as well who experience “different SIM detected please connect to iTunes….”

    Hi,
    I had upgraded my iPhone 3G when iOS4 came out. I have since gone back to 3.1.3 (7E18) since the phone had became so slow it was unusable. After the downgrade, the baseband version remains 05.13.04. Does it mean that I am stuck in limbo and must upgrade again to iOS4 if I want to jailbreak and unlock my iPhone? All the solutions I read about refer to iOS4-05.13.04 or 3.1.3-5.12.01.

    Hi, I have an iphone 32gb 3gs 4.0.1 with bootrom 5.13.04 locked to rogers but just jailbroke it with http://www.jailbreakme.com

    unfortunately, the ultrasn0w unlock will not work. it says new sim, connect to itunes over and over.

    i tried installing and re-installing many times with no luck.

    could anyone please help?

    revivial…your are stuck on the apple logo and the cable…do this
    search and install LIBUSB-WIN32 application
    if you have vista or 7 then before you install
    right click on the application ..select properties.select compatibility..then select compatible mode with XP
    then install the program
    after that download
    IREB 3.1.2 open it..you will see button called fix loop mode..click it..then confirm that you have the libusb..then choose your device and click the correspondent button and viola..Ur done

    My 3gs iphone is still on the 3.1.3 version with the 5.12.1 firmware. Can I update it to the 4.0 version now? And still have it be unlocked, or do i have to download the new unlock for the 4.0 system- is it even out yet?

    Hi everyone, got my 3GS 16G off ebay, it says jailbroken and unlocked but when I got it I still couldnt use my sim card(from another country).
    Instead of getting a Phone Book sim card and unlock it, I used an inactive sim card (a sim card that hasnt been used for a very long time, or a brand new sim card that hasn’t been activated, you can check it when you insert it to a normal phone it says inactive sim etc).
    So I put the inactive sim card in, installed ultrasn0w using Cydia, wait patiently for it to finish. Then only i reboot it. (Note: I turned off my 3G)
    So when my phone restarted itself, the inactive sim card was still in there and the screen says ” Waiting for activation. This may take some times”. So I waited for like 15 minutes. Switched off my phone. Took the sim card out, and put my own sim card in (the one that you wanna use). When I switched on my phone again, it says ” Phone activated”.

    SUCCESS!

    I just followed the instructions above and unlocked my 3G running baseband 05.13.04 and IOS 4.0.2.

    I first had tried a jailbreak with redsn0w, which seemed to work, but was unable to activate the carrier. Thus no phone.

    But now it works.

    This site was very helpful. I got a lot of stuff done, but I still cant use my tmobile sim.
    I have a iphone3g, 8gb. It has ios4.1 on it. I followed all the instructions on jailbreaking it. In the end when i restored it with itunes, it gave me a error message that it was unable to restore. But the fone is jailbroken, because when i took it out of dfu, it had cydia and other apps that it didnt have before. Now i tried unlocking it, and i followed the instructions, i went to cydia and installed ultrasnow. it installed correctly , but when i put my sim, it says no service, even after i turned 3g back on.
    Can someone help me?

    I have iphone 3gs new bootrom and i did all the steps that are required for 3gs new bootrom, and im pretty sure that i did them correctly. However, when i try to choose the IPSW file that sn0wbreeze created for me, itunes tell me: The iphone “iPhone” couldn’t be restored. An unknown error occured (1600).

    I have jailbroken my Iphone 3GS using http://www.jailbreakme.com, I have added ultrasn0w but it still says sim locked and also it has no signal at all. I have tried to install sinful and now when I re try to install ultrasn0w after resetting everything it comes up with an error and hangs on download packaging. Can anyone help.     I have just JB my 3gs running 4.2.1 8C148a with Baseband 05.13.04. I then tryed to Unlock it with Ultrasn0w but when i run it i lose all receipton even when i try difrent sims. I have to uninstall it to get my iphone to work…. Any other way of Unlocking it?????
