Apple’s iWatch reportedly debuting alongside iPhone 6 in September

The launch of a wearable dubbed as iWatch, by the Apple, has been aggressively debated since the past few months. According to John Paczowski at ReCode, Apple has plans to launch a wearable during a media event being held in September alonside the unveiling of two models of iPhone 6. Apple was previously rumored to have delayed the launch of iWatch until a media event in October to get some more time to finalized its plans related to the wearable products. However, Paczowski – who has strong connections – claims that the fruit company has moved up its timeline.

There’s nothing much available about the design and feature of the device, but it’s widely speculated that iWatch will make use of Apple’s new HealthKit and fitness tracking features. Back in January, 9to5mac reported that Apple has plans to “redefine mobile health” with the launch of iWatch and iOS 8, and that iWatch could feature sensors to track and measure different aspects of a human body.

Re/code has published a report claiming that the iWatch will now be announced alongside the iPhone 6 during Apple’s upcoming media event in September. “Apple now plans to unveil a new wearable alongside the two next-generation iPhones we told you the company will debut on September 9th. (Funny “joke,” Gruber.) The new device will, predictably, make good use of Apple’s HealthKit health and fitness platform. It will also — predictably — make good use of HomeKit, the company’s new framework for controlling connected devices — though it’s not clear how broadly or in what way.”

The report pointed Gruber, a well known presence in Apple’s ecosystem, in the report because he reported about Apple’s “wrist wearable thing” launching in September, and quickly nullifies his claim by saying it was a joke. Looks like it may not have been a joke after all.

If the report turns out to be true, September 9 is going to be a busy day for Apple, when thy are expected to launch two new models of iPhone dubbed as iPhone 6 and iPhone 6L. Apple is yet to send invites for the event to members of media.

Apple is widely expected to hold an event on September 9 to unveil two models of iPhone 6. Rumored iPhone 6 specs include an A8 processor, improved camera, NFC chip and slim design.
