How to Jailbreak iOS 6.1.2 with Sn0wbreeze

Sn0wbreeze v2.9.11 can jailbreak iOS 6.1.2. This guide is on how to jailbreak iPhone 4, 3Gs, iPod Touch 4G running iOS 6.1.2 firmware. We’re going to create a custom firmware with Sn0wbreeze that’ll be pre-jailbroken abd by restoring that custom firmware on iPhone/iPod Touch, it’ll become jailbroken. Jailbreking iOS 6.1.2 with Sn0wbreeze is a recommended solution for UltraSn0w or Gevey SIM unlockers as it also preserves the iPhone baseband.

Sn0wbreeze, just like PwnageTool and RedSn0w, creates custom firmware to jailbreak iPhone 4, 3GS and iPod Touch 4G. It also incorporates the iREB tool. Custom firmware not only jailbreaks the device, it may also preserve your iPhone baseband to its current version which lets iPhone unlockers to keep using UltraSn0w or Gevey SIM.

Notes:

  • Sn0wbreeze 2.9.11brings support for iOS 6.1.2, iOS 6.1, iOS 6.0.1 and iOS 6
  • Only A4 or older devices are supported on 6.1.2 that includes iPhone 4, iPod Touch 4G and iPhone 3GS only.
  • It’s an untethered jailbreak for aboved mentioned devices. Learn more about untethered jailbreak.
  • Sn0wbreeze does NOT support iPhone 5, iPhone 4S, iPad 4/3/2, iPad mini or iPod Touch 5G. For these devices we recommend you to use evasi0n jailbreak:
  • Sn0wbreeze is available for Windows only.

We recommend using Sn0wbreeze for iPhone 4 and iPhone 3GS only if you depend on UltraSn0w unlock or Gevey SIM and want to preserve baseband. Otherwise we strongly suggest your to use evasi0n jailbreak instead.

Hi. After upgrading to iOS 6.1.2 on my iPhone 4 GSM, the signal bar went from full to just one bar. I’ve already tried installing both ultrasn0w and ultrasn0w fixer for 6.1 but to no avail. Any tips? I’m using Gevey Pro on BB 02.10.04. Thanks!

Hi,

I currently have iOS 5.1.1 unlocked with UltraSn0w and I’d like to update to 6.1.2.

When I try to restore the custom IPSW created with Sn0wbreez iTunes gives me error 3194 during the verifying process.

After adding “74.208.10.249 gs.apple.com” to the .hosts file iTunes restore progesses until “Preparing iPhone for restore”.
But it ends with error 1601 “The iPhone xxxx could not be restored. An unknown error occurred”

How should I continue?

Thanks in advance!

I have an iPhone 4 (GSM firmware 04.10.01) working with a jailbreak 4.3.3 and Gevey. I’ve tried to update to 6.1.2, but it occurs 2 errors: 3014, and when I change the host file 3004. Please, can you help me?
