iH8Sn0w Downgrades iPhone 4S, iPad 2 iOS 5.1 to iOS 5.0.1

iH8Sn0w, the hacker behind Sn0wBreeze, iFaith, iREB and other popular jailbreak related tools has discovered a loophole in Apple’s apticket system that allows you to downgrade your iPad 2 and iPhone 4S iOS 5.1 to iOS 5.0.1 firmware.

The loophole found by iH8Sn0w, in Apple’s apticket system will even work on A5X devices as soon as Apple pushes a new firmware update. This downgrade method will work on all A5 and A5X devices which includes iPhone 4S, iPad 2 and the new iPad 3.

This is what iH8Sn0w has tweeted about the apticket system loophole and downgrading:

 

This is a big news for the jailbreak community because at this time finding jailbreak exploits for every iOS update has become a difficult task and it is nearly impossible to downgrade iPhone 4S, iPad 2 and iPad 3 because of the aptickets system Apple had introduced in iOS 5 or later firmwares.

All those stuck with iOS 5.1 with no means of jailbreaking or downgrading back hold on tight because iH8sn0w will soon be releasing a downgrade method for your iPhone 4S, iPad 2 and iPad 3.

    This is great news. I want to rejailbreak my 4s but apple has stop signing 5.01. I hope this hack comes out soon in addition to new untheatered JB for the new FW.
