To fix the app icons disappearing randomly after the jailbreak, all you need to do is update UIKit Tools package to latest version 1.1.10. Here’s how to:
- Open Cydia.
- When it prompts you for “Essential Upgrade”, choose “Complete Upgrade.”
- This should install the available update for UIKit Tools.
Alternatively:
Since UIKit Tools is available in default Cydia repository, you don’t need to add a repo to get it. Simply do this:
- Open Cydia.
- Go to Changes tab and hit Refresh.
- Once the repositories are refreshed, search for UIKit Tools in Cydia.
- Then Install/upgrade (Modify->Upgrade) UIKit Tools to the latest version.
