Apple Seeds iOS 8.1.1 beta to Developers

Apple has released iOS 8.1.1 beta 1 to the developers. iOS 8.1.1 beta bears a build number 12B432. The first beta of iOS 8.1.1 has been pushed to developers roughly two weeks after the availability of iOS 8.1 to the general public.

Apple had released iOS 8 on September 17th to the general public, followed on iOS 8.0.1 which was later pulled because of some serious issues. Apple then released iOS 8.0.2 on September 26th, which address all the issues brought by iOS 8.0.1. iOS 8.1 was released with Apple Pay – Apple’s own NFC based payment solution – on iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus among other bug fixes and improvements.

Folks who have jailbreak iOS 8.1 with Pangu jailbreak must stay away from updating to iOS 8.1.1, because it reportedly breaks Pangu jailbreak.

iOS 8.1.1 is compatible with the following devices:

iPhone 6 Plus, iPhone 6, iPhone 5s, iPhone 5s, iPhone 5, iPhone 4s
iPad Air 2, iPad Air, iPad 4, iPad 3, iPad 2
iPad mini 3, iPad mini 2, iPad mini
iPod Touch 5g

Changelog:

This release includes bug fixes, increased stability and performance improvements for iPad 2 and iPhone 4s.

If you are a registered iOS developer, you can download iOS 8.1.1 from the iOS Dev Center. Additionally, Apple has also released new beta firmwares for Apple TV as well.
