Background Manager Enables True Multitasking on iOS 6

True multitasking experience has never been available on iOS in order to improve battery time of your iPhone/iPad. However, jailbreak community have been enjoying the true multitasking experience, at least on older iOS version, for quite some time now. Unfortunately, backgrounder, the true multitasking Cydia app stopped working since iOS 6. The project has been abandoned. This is where Background manager comes in…

Background Manager is a new Cydia tweak developed by deVbug that brings true multitasking experience to iOS 6.

Bringing back true multitasking on your iDevice, Background Manager allows the user to enable backgrounding for true multitasking on iOS.

The default iOS multitasking works by suspending the process in the memory. However with the Background Manager, you can choose to run any app on the background as if it was running on foreground.

* Please note that this is NOT Backgrounder, the codes are written from scratch to bring Backgrounder-like functions to iOS 6.x.

So, background manager is a new jailbreak tweak that is written from the scratch to bring back backgrounder like multitasking experience to iOS 6. Once you’ve installed the background manager, you can configure preferences under Settings app.

Background Manager can be purchased  from Cydia store for $0.99. You need to jailbreak iPad or iPhone to get Cydia store on your device.
