Leaked iPhone 6 cases point to redesign

iPhone 6, the next-generation iPhone, is widely rumored to come in 4.7-inches and 5.5-inches display options, with an ultra-thin design and minimalistic bezel. Nowhereelse.fr has shared a photo reportedly showing transparent cases designed for the upcoming larger iPhone 6 models.

While the exact sizes of the cases are not apparent from the the photo and are not compared with existing iPhone cases, the cases are said to be for 4.7-inch and 5.7-inch iPhone 6 models which is consistent with some of the reports. Most of the sources have been reporting about a 5.5-inches model, although there are a few sources that point to a 5.7-inch display.

The cases in the photo also highlight the cut-out at the top of the left-side for the rumored new position of power button. However, capsule-shaped cut-out can also be seen at the top as well, so we would take this with a pinch of salt. There has been rumors about the new position of the power button at the top of the left-side to make it easily accessible in one hand. If the left cut-out is for power button, the function of the cut-out at the top becomes unknown.

Nowhereelse.fr achknowledges that the source doesn’t have a track record, so the authenticity is doubtful. However, Chinese case makers are known to get inside intel about the specs and design of the upcoming iPhone models through Apple’s supply chain, so it cannot be completely ruled out.

Speculated iPhone 6 specs claim two display sizes: the 4.7-inch (1334×750 pixels) and 5.5-inch (1920×1080 pixels), and sport an A8 chip with 1GB of RAM, NFC, an 8MP camera with OIS, thinner design, minimalistic bezel and more.
