iPhone XR Design
iPhone XR features the modern design touch of Apple’s latest iPhone crop. However, the bezels are thicker than the iPhone XS or the iPhone XS Max. The edges of the device, are made of aluminum which does not give the premium feel of an iPhone XS. The back of the device is made of all glass.
The overall size of the iPhone XR is larger than the iPhone X / XS but smaller than the iPhone XS Max. There are two speaker grills at the bottom of the device but only one of them actually works. The device also lacks 3.5mm headphone jack. There is no physical Home button on the front side which is completely covered with the display with a notch at the top just like the iPhone X. The iPhone XR features IP67 waterproofing.

Unlike the iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max, the iPhone XR features a 6.1-inch LCD display panel. While LCD has been the standard display tech in iPhone line, the company has first time made the LCD display to cover the whole front of the device and calls it Liquid Retina Display. There’s no chin or forehead on the front side, however, Apple has introduced the notch at the top of an LCD display.
Being the second largest iPhone in the lineup, the iPhone XR features a 6.1-inch LCD display with a resolution of 1792×828 (18:9 ratio). The display has a pixel density of 326ppi.

iPhone XR Camera
The camera is where iPhone Xr falls way behind the iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max. Unlike iPhone XS or the iPhone XS Max, the iPhone XR only features a single shooter 12MP lens on the back as found on the iPhone 8. However, the camera is capable of shooting up to 4K video at 60fps and features optical stabilization.
With the help of A12 Bionic chipset, improved camera sensors, and improved signal processing, the camera is capable of capturing more details. Using machine learning, the smart HDR feature of the camera makes improvements to the photos. Despite have a single camera lens, the iPhone XR is capable of taking Portrait Mode photos.
On the front side, the device packs the TrueDeth camera system with 7MP lens used for facial unlocking and selfies. This is the same setup across all three new iPhone models.
