Now that most of the details related to Apple’s upcoming iPhone 8 have been leaking at a pretty rapid pace, numerous dummy units of the handset have been created and made available in the market. Many YouTubers have got their hands on those dummy units and created hands-on videos to give us a closer look at the iPhone 8.
Inline with the numerous rumors and reports, the back side of the dummy unit is made up of glass and has a dual camera setup which is vertically aligned. If turns out to be true, this iPhone 8’s design is going to be a refreshing change from the existing iPhone design that we have been seeing since the iPhone 6. The front side of the device has close to no bezels around the display and has a “notch display” design.
Some recent rumors and leaks hinted at a new Copper Gold color option for the iPhone 8. Danny Widget, a YouTuber goes hand-0on in a video showing all three color options expected for the iPhone 8 including the Copper Gold. The border of the front side is shown in both black and white colors. The white one does not suit the iPhone’s front in my opinion.
While we have embedded the hands-on video showing the iPhone 8 dummy units in the rumored tree color options, a high-resolution render of the handset created by designer Quinton Theron has also been posted at the top.
Apple is widely expected to unveil the iPhone 8 along with iPhone 7s and iPhone 7s Plus in September. The iPhone 8 is expected to come with an OLED display with notch display design and a bezel-free front. The back side will be covered with glass with a metallic chassis sandwiched between the front and the back. Apple is also rumored to ditch finger print sensor in favor of an all-new facial recognition technology.
The vertically aligned dual camera setup will reportedly be capable of 3D depth sensing which will be used for the new AR features on the handset. Other rumored features for the iPhone 8 includes wireless charging, improved waterproofing, and faster-wired charging.
The copper gold is hideous! And even if the real deal looks better than the mock up I’m not happy that it’s not going to match my watch…
Maybe they’re trying to broaden the horizons and move the color away from being (pretty well) exclusively a feminine choice but I’d love to see both options, the rose gold is much prettier and I like it looking that feminine…
