It was only yesterday that we had our first clearest look at an alleged iPhone 7 rear shell, an alleged rear shell of Apple iPhone 7 Plus has also been leaked. Just like the iPhone 7 leaked photos, this latest iPhone 7 Plus leak confirms what we have been hearing over last few months: the introduction of dual lens camera setup, repositioned antenna bands and smart connector.
Interestingly, the leaked picture gives us a peek at the much rumored Smart Connector expected to make its way onto the larger iPhone 7 Plus. Previous rumors, while claiming the same, failed to provide a concrete evidence. However, given that the image comes from a credible leaks source, it seems highly likely that Apple is indeed planning on introducing Smart Connector in its larger iPhone 7 Plus.
There is another interesting bit reveal in this leak is the absence of mute switch on both the upcoming smartphones. It is the first leak depicting the removal of the mute switch from the iPhone 7 and the iPhone 7 Plus / Pro. Given the usefulness of the mute button, it would surely come as a surprise if the fruit company ends up removing it from its next-generation iPhone models.
As far as the credibility of today and yesterday’s leaks are concerned, both of these images come from a reliable Apple leaker. So, there is little reason to doubt the credibility of these leaks.
Apple is expected to launch iPhone 7 and the Plus with modest changes over the current iPhone 6s lineage. While the upcoming handsets are largely expected to remain same, the addition of water and dust proofing is expected. iPhone 7 is widely rumored to have a larger camera sensor while the larger sibling will reportedly incorporate a dual-lens camera system for improved low-light performance.
