Apple’s upcoming iPhone 7 and the iPhone 7 Plus are widely expected to look much identical to the current iPhone 6s with an improved dual lens camera sensor. Recently leaked images of what is allegedly the rear body of the iPhone 7 suggests a bigger camera sensor, as there is a bigger hole in the alleged rear panel.
A larger camera sensor means greatly improved camera performance and image quality of the iPhone 7. Other than a larger hole in the rear panel for the camera module, the leaked photos also show relocated antenna bands towards the top and bottom edges of the alleged rear panel.
The other photos allegedly reveal a dual-lens camera system for the larger iPhone 7 Plus or Pro (whatever Apple ends up calling it), which is in line with numerous previous rumors and reports. A dual-lens camera system not only means better picture quality and camera performance, it may also mean that the upcoming larger iPhone variant’s camera may have some other tricks up its sleeve.
While it is widely speculated that Apple will be ditching the 3.5mm audio jack from its upcoming iPhone 7 models, Rock Fix – a Chines repair shop and the leaker of these images, claims that Apple will also be launching a cheaper 4.7-inch variant of iPhone 7 that will have the 3.5mm audio jack as well. Since this claim is contradicted the majority of the rumors and reports, we advise you to take this rumor with a pinch of salt until a credible source comes out with similar information. The repair shop also claims iPhone 7 to feature dual-SIM slot, which is a popular smartphone feature in Asian countries.
The majority of the reports and rumors so far have claimed the lack of 3.5mm audio jack in the larger variant of the upcoming iPhone 7 lineup. Other than that, the new iPhone are expected to be dust resistant and waterproof, slightly cleaner rear shell, better camera and rest similar to the iPhone 6/6s. Apple will be launching new iPhone in the month of September if everything goes as planned.
