Apple has released iOS 8.4 beta 3 for iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch to the registered iOS developers enrolled into the iOS development program. Additional, Apple has also released iOS 8.4 beta 2 to the testers who are part of the public beta program.
The 3rd beta of iOS 8.4 carries a build number of 12H4098c. The release comes two weeks after the availability of the second beta, and roughly a month after the first release. iOS 8.4 comes with a revamped version of Music App with an all new MiniPlayer.
Just like previous beta releases, the iOS 8.4 beta 3 is compatible with the following iOS devices:
- iPhone 6 Plus, iPhone 6, iPhone 5s, iPhone 5c, IPhone 5, iPhone 4s
- iPad Air 2, iPad Air, iPad 4, iPad 3, iPad 2
- iPad mini 3, iPad mini 2, iPad mini
- iPod Touch 5G
Just like any other new software update, jailbreakers should also avoid iOS 8.4 beta 3, or may you end up not only losing your jailbreak, but you’ll also not be able to jailbreak it later.
Timing of the iOS 8.4 beta 3 release is interesting as Apple’s World Wide Developer Conference is just 3 weeks away, where Apple is widely expected to introduce its next major version of iOS (iOS 9).
