SwiftKey Keyboard for iOS getting new Themes

With iOS 8, Apple allowed 3rd-party keyboard developers to release their iOS keyboard alternate into the app store. Swiftkey was one of the first 3rd-party iOS keyboard and became one of the most popular keyboard choices available in the app store.

Swiftkey for iOS has received many updates since its release, including new features, tweaks and a huge list of Emoji characters. Now MacRumors reports that the popular 3rd-party keyboard for iOS will soon be becoming more appealing to the eyes, by offering a brand new theme store real soon.

Swiftkey already has three themes available in the keyboard app for free, but this is going to be expanding in near future. The new theme store will offer 11 additional themes at a price ranging from $0.99 to $1.99, according to Macrumors.

The base price ($0.99) themes will only offer color swap on the keyboard. These cheapest themes will allow Swiftkey users to change the color of the keyboard, and the available options include “Coal,” “Iceberg,” and “Juice.” The more expensive category will also come packed with more tweaks, such as the dynamic “Shooting Stars” theme. With that theme installed, stars will shift on the board when the phone is moved, making use of Apple’s parallax feature. Users will also see a shooting star arc across the keyboard from time-to-time as well.
