Renders of prototype of a larger iPad Pro have reportedly been leaked out of Foxconn. The alleged images has been posted by a french blog Nowhereelse, showing four speakers integrated into the prototype, that would make perfect sense for a larger iPad measuring between 12.2-inch and 12.9-inches.
The images are claimed to be captured by a Foxconn worker. The worker claims the thicness of the alleged larger iPad Pro is between 6.9 and 7.5mm. There are additional speaker holed on top of the alleged prototype supporting the claims that the larger iPad Pro or the iPad Plus will have stereo speakers.
Captured gently by a worker who claims to work in a factory FOXCONN, the snapshot below seems to confirm the existence of the imposing shelf. The employee in question specifies that the phases of testing (EVT) launched in the course of last summer were halted following the recent approval by Apple last prototypes made by a subcontractor and that production top boxes that will host the components of this iPad XXL is about to start.
Please take these rumored images of alleged iPad Pro with a pinch of salt. However, Nowhereelse claims its source to be a reliable one who had provided some solid tips about the current latest iPhone 6 before it was even announced. There’s nothing exciting about these images, the only information provided by the tipster is that the thickness would be between 6.9 and 7.5mm.
Ming-Chi Kuo of the KGI Securities has previously said that a larger iPad will launch in the second quarter of 2015. Originally, the iPad Pro was said to hit shelves in Fall 2014, but was delayed due to manufacturing difficulties.
