TaiG Jailbreak updated with iOS 8.1.2 support

TaiG jailbreak has been updated with iOS 8.1.2 firmware support. Apple released iOS 8.1.2 for iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch to address a ringtone related bug where some users found their ringtones, bought from iTunes store, disappeared from their device. Jailbreak community was concerned that Apple may have patched the vulnerabilities used in TaiG jailbreak with the release of iOS 8.1.2. However, based on the reports from renowned hackers that iOS 8.1.2 did not patch the kernel exploit used by the Chinese hackers in their TaiG jailbreak for iOS 8.1.1, and now the official TaiG update proves them right.

Following iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch devices running iOS 8.1.2 are supported by the TaiG jailbreak:

  • iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, iPhone 5s, iPhone 5c, iPhone 5, iPhone 4S
  • iPad Air 2, iPad Air, iPad 4, iPad 3, iPad 2
  • iPad mini 3, iPad mini 2, iPad mini
  • iPod touch 5G
