Auxo 3 for iOS 8 Hits Cydia Store

Auxo, one of the most popular jailbreak tweaks that revolutionized the multitasking aspect of iOS, has officially been updated for iOS 8. Auxo 3 is the latest installment of the tweak which makes it compatible with iOS 8 firmware. You can download Auxo 3 from Cydia store for both iPhone and iPad running iOS 8. Hit the jump to learn more about this latest tweak.

Auxo is developed by A3Tweaks and the team has been bringing constant improvements to the tweak since its first release. The latest installment is built upon its predecessor and we can say that Auxo 3 for iOS 8 is much refined and improved form of Auxo 2.

The team had teased earlier this month that Auxo 3 will be hitting Cydia store later in December and here we have it now. Auxo 3 offers a more dynamic and quicker multitasking feature. The latest version brings huge improvements to multitasking and app switcher in iOS. It not only combines App switcher and Control Center, but also adds “hot corners”, allowing users to switch between apps without having access to the app switcher.

Traditionally, you have to double tap the Home button to bring up the App Switcher, but after setting up Auxo 3, a swipe up from the bottom of the screen will bring up Control Center as well as the App Switcher. This one feature of Auxo is what the majority in the jailbreak community loves about it.

As per the Auxo 3 changelog, the tweak consists of three main elements; Multi-Center, Quick Switcher, and Hot Corners. And all these three core element are available to be enjoyed on iOS 8 firmware.

Multi-Center is just a simple swipe action. Running apps are previewed, which can be swiped down to be focused on, or swiped up to quit them.
Quick Switcher activates with a swipe up from the bottom of the screen. It allows you to quickly and smoothly slide, switch, and select an app. It dynamically resizes the preview window based on your finger location.
Hot corners puts this tweak to a whole new level by allowing truly advanced features with adjusting combinations and settings of your liking.

Since the iOS 8 jailbreak got released very early in the iOS 8 life cycle compared to iOS 7 – which was jailbroken after about 3 months of its availability. This early jailbreak release took many jailbreak developers by surprise resulting in many popular jailbreak tweaks absent from Cydia store, due to incompatibility, for a longer period of time than usual. Auxo was no exception.

Pangu8 was the first tool to jailbreak iOS 8 – 8.1, but it does not support the current latest iOS 8.1.2. This is where TaiG jailbreak comes in, which supports iOS 8.1.1 and iOS 8.1.2.

Auxo 3 supports iOS 8 and you can download Auxo 3 from Cydia store, under BigBoss repo for $2.99. Since this tweak requires Cydia, so you device must already be jailbroken. Here’s how to jailbreak and install Cydia:
