iPhone 6 vs. iPhone 5s: New leak gives us a better look at huge redesign
After the iPhone 6 comparison with iPod Touch 5g, now it’s iPhone 5s turn to appear against the mock of the bigger and yet to be released iPhone 6. Folks over at Nowhereelse.fr have published some photos of the iPhone 6 mockup compared to the iPhone 5s, giving you a better idea of what an iPhone 6 may look like, how bigger it is and how radical the new design is as compared to iPhone 5s.
Nowhereelse.fr has received the images from an unnamed source who claims that the iPhone 6 mockup measures at 138 mm x 67 mm x 7 mm, compared to the iPhone 5s which measures at 123.8 mm x 58.6 mm x 7.6 mm.
It’s clear from the comparison photos that despite the fact iPhone 6 has a bigger 4.7-inch display, it doesn’t seem to be substantially bigger than the current-gen iPhone 5s, thanks to its ultra-slim design and narrower bezels. If the claimed dimension of the iPhone 6 turns out to be true, it’ll be only 11.5% taller and 14.3% wider than the iPhone 5s. The leaked photos also reveal that the iPhone 6 will be only 7mm thick, which makes it marginally thinner than the iPhone 5s.
Just like any earlier rumor, the power button has been relocated on the top right hand side of the device to make it easier to hold the larger device in one hand operation.
This mockup of iPhone 6 really looks great based on the rumored design than the earlier mockups that we have seen. The only concerns one may have are the antennas. We hope that Apple does a better job at hiding them.
Apple is rumored to launch two different models of iPhone 6. A 4.7-inch model that is expected to launch in August, followed by a larger 5.5-inch model in September. The next-generation iPhone will most likely be pre-loaded with iOS 8 – Apple’s upcoming major firmware update.
Other than the larger displays, rumored iPhone 6 specs include an A8 processor, 1GB of RAM, NFC chip and an improved 8MP camera.
