The Apple Store app for iOS keeps offering different promotions allowing users to download paid iTunes content such as, appps, games, music, iBooks, etc. for free. This time Apple is offering the worderful TETRIS game for free (normally $0.99) as part of their limited time promotions found in the Apple Store app for iOS.
EA’s pfficial version of TETRIS is an overhauled and modern looking vrsion of the iconic TETRIS game. In an effort to promote the game, and to give something back to the users in the process, Apple is now offering TETRIS free of charge as part of the “A throwback for you. On us” campaign through the Apple Store app.
Don not confuse this particular promotion with the ongoing “Best New Apps”, “Editors Choice” or “Featured” listings. Free TETRIS offer can only be accessed through the Apple Store app that must already be installed in order to download TETRIS for free. Simply follow the steps mentioned below to get TETRIS for free:
- Open the Apple Store app (install it from this link if you’ve not already).
- Go to Stores tab and choose your country (select US if your country is not listed), now select a store.
- Scroll down and tap on the row with the TETRIS icon. The title reads: “A throwback for you. On us.”
- Tap on the green “Download now for free” button. It should take you to the App Store with an auto-populated redeem code. Tap the Redeem button, input your Apple ID credentials. Tetris game should now be downloading on to your device.
Unfortunately, this promotion allows you to get the app without paying the $0.99 puchase price, those in-app purchase prices still stand. Please also note that the offer might not be available in all the regions, and that you can get TETRIS for free only via Apple Store application – downloading it directly from App Store will still cost you the regular $0.99 price.
