NOTES
- Evasi0n7 is an untetehred jailbreak
- It supports iOS 7.0 – 7.0.4 fimrware. Jailbreak steps for all the devices and firmware versions are the same.
- All the iPhone models running iOS 7 throught 7.0.4 are supported by evasi0n7.
- It won’t work on the Apple TV or any devices running iOS 6.x.x.
- It’s recommended to backup your personal data either via iCloud (Settings > iCloud > Storage & Backup > Back Up Now) or iTunes.
- It’s highly recommended to update your iPhone to iOS 7.0.4 if you’ve not already, unless you depend on unlock. You should do it via iTunes, not OTA. You can download iOS 7.0.4 and follow this guide to update to iOS 7.0.4.
How to jailbreak iPhone 5S, 5C, 5, 4S, 4 iOS 7.0.4 with Evasi0n7
Let’s assume that you’ve read the NOTES above and your device is running iOS 7.0.4 (however, it should work on iOS 7, 7.0.1, 7.0.2, 7.0.3 as well without a problem). here are the steps to jailbreak iPhone iOS 7.0.4-7.0 with evasi0n 7:
Step 1
First of all download evasi0n7 for your operating system. Now extract/unzip the downloaded .zip file.
Step 2
If your iPhone has a passcode set, unlock your device and go to Settings > General > Passcode Lock > and select Turn Passcode Off.
Step 3
Now connect your iPhone 5S, 5C, 5, 4S, or iPhone 4 (one device only) and run the evasi0n app. Allow access to the application if any prompt appears.
When opened, evasi0n home screen should detect your device and the Jailbreak button should be clickable. (if not, replug your device).
Now click the Jailbreak button to start the jailbreak process.
Evasi0n7 will then go through several jailbreaking steps including retrieving remote package, uploading jailbreak data, injecting evasi0n app, and configuring system. The jailbreak process may take a few minutes, so be patient.
Step 4
After performing several steps, evasi0n will tell your that there is a new evasi0n icon on the home screen of your iPhone. Slide unlock your device, find a new app called “evasi0n 7” on your iPhone and tap on it. TAP THE ICON ONCE and DO NOT DICONNECT YOUR IPHONE FROM COMPUTER. It will restart.
After reboot, evasi0n will perform more jailbreaking steps. Don’t touch your device and be patient. Once it’s ready, evasi0n will prompt your to unlock your device to continue and by doing so, your device will reboot once again. Evasi0n will again perform some steps and then a final message saying Done! will appear. Cydia should now be installed in your iPhone. You can now Exit evasi0n and you’re done with the jailbreak process. That’s it! you’ve successfully jailbreak iPhone 5S, 5C, 5, 4S, 4 iOS 7.0.4 – iOS 7 with Evasi0n7.
NOTE: If you’re stuck at any point during the jailbreak process, it’s safe to restart your device (hold power + home buttons if necessary), restart evasion, and retry.
