Google+ app for iOS gets full resolution photo/video backup, location sharing

Google has rolled out an update to its Google+ app for iPhone and iPad. This latest Google+ update for iOS app, not only adds new tweaks, update notifications design, and bug fixes/performance improvements, it also brings a new iOS 7 perk: the ability to automatically upload your photos and videos from the Camera roll in full resolution.

With this backup feature enabled, the Google+ app will upload your photos and videos in full resolution to a private album in your Google+ account. The album will only be viewable by you (unless specified otherwise). The app will do the backup thing in the background. The photos backup feature was there in earlier version of the app, but would not backup the photos and videos in full resolution.

The full-resolution photo and video backup feature is only available for the devices running iOS 7. Other enhancements in this update include UI tweaks, location sharing, in-line translation and “additional bug fixes and performance improvements”. Google+ for iOS can now translate foreign language posts and show an inline translation.
