In this article, we’ll guide you through the steps to install a GBA emulator on iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch without jailbreaking your device. The method is also applicable to jailbroken devices. This new work around allows you to install a whole load of emulators, not just GBA4iOS, on your iDevice running iOS 6 or later version.

Note: In order to play games on your iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch via GBA4iOS, you’ll need to have GBA ROMs for your desired game.

How to Install GBA Emulator on iOS

  1. From your iOS device, go to: Settings > General > Date & Time, toggle OFF “Set Automatic” option and then set Date & Time to 15th of July, 2013. Go back to home screen and make sure your Calendar app now Shows 15th of July, 2013. *Date is important*
  2. Open Safari and point it to this link:
    http://emu4ios.weebly.com/downloads.html;
  3. Scroll down and you’ll see number of emulators to choose from. Hit the Install button under your favorite emulator. We’ll be installing GBA4iOS for the sake of this guide;
  4. A prompt will appear, just hit “Install”;
  5. The emulator will be installed just like any other app store app.
  6. Once the installation is completed, open the installed app and load up a ROM using iTunes File sharing or getting a direct download link in Safari.
  7. Open the installed GBA4iOS emulator, hit the search button, it’ll take you to google results for GBA ROMs.
