iOS 6.1.2 to Fix Passcode Security Issue, Exchange Bug Early Next Week

Apple has acknowledged the passcode security issue and the Exchange bug found in iOS 6.1 and said that the future iOS update will fix these issues. iOS 6.1.2 update, which is expected to fix the mentioned issues, will likely be released early next week, according to a German blog iFun
iOS 6.1.2
We have reported about the passcode bypassing bug found in iOS 6.1. Apple has already released iOS 6.1.1 to fix the 3G connectivity issues on the iPhone 4S.

Apple provided the following statement to AllThingsD:

Reached for comment, Apple said it is hard at work on a fix. “Apple takes user security very seriously” spokeswoman Trudy Muller told AllThingsD. “We are aware of this issue, and will deliver a fix in a future software update.”

iFun reports that Apple will release iOS 6.1.2 sometime before Thursday, February 21 based on checks with carriers. The German site accurately predicted the release of iOS 6.1.1 update through the same sources earlier this month. In addition, the site also claims that the enhancements to maps in Japan found in iOS 6.1.1 beta would reach consumers in the coming weeks as iOS 6.1.3.

If you’re a jailbreaker or depend on UltraSn0w or Gevey SIM to unlock your iPhone, you better stay away from Over-The-Air updates or fresh stock firmware restores. Let’s hope that Apple only fixes the passcode and exchange issues and not the evasi0n jailbreak.

Why not update to 6.1.2 and see if the problem is fixed.
