Apple is going to sell unlocked iPhone 5 through its online store as soon as 9PM tonight, according to 9to5mac‘s retail sources. Just like its predecessors, iPhone 5 price range will likely be $649, $749, and $849 for 16GB, 32GB, and 64GB of storage respectively.
Unlocked iPhone 5 units have begun arriving Apple stores as well. The retail chain will begin selling unlocked iPhone 5 soon, but have yet to be provided a start sales date. Apple’s retail outlets in Canada are selling the iPhone 5 factory-unlocked as we speak.
We’re also hearing that Apple will expand its Apple Store Personal Pickup program to allow customers to reserve devices at any time of the day, not just after 10 PM.
It’s been more than two months since the iPhone 5 went on sale, and unlocked version is yet to hit shelves in US. iPhone 4S units became available a month following the launch.
