Yesterday’s Apple event was not just about the iPhone 5, Apple also unveiled the 5th generation iPod Touch during that event. All new iPod nanos with bluetooth and multitouch also unveiled during the keynote.
iPod Touch 5G comes with a bit of makeover. it comes with 4-inch display just like the new iPhone and at 6.1mm, iPod Touch 5G is the thinnest iPod Touch Apple has ever launched.
It brings the Dual-Core A5 chip which features both a dual-core processor and dual-core graphics. The enhanced battery life now support 40 hours of audio playback and 8 hours of video playback.
iPod Touch 5G also features iSight camera with 5MP sensor, with backside illumination. It can shoot video at 1080p resolution and includes iSight features such as Hybrid IR filter and Five-element lens. It also features the new Panorama photo mode and autofocus and an LED flash are also onboard.
Just like the iPhone 5, iPod Touch 5G features the same 2.4GHz and 5GHz 802.11a/b/g/n Wi-Fi radio and is now compatible with Apple’s AirPlay Mirroring feature. Apple not only introduced several new colors, but a new loop accessory is also available for the iPod Touch 5G.
iPod Touch 5G is available in 32GB and 64GB capacity options at price of $299, and $399 respectively. 16GB iPod Touch 4G also lives for $199.
