Macotakara, a Japanese blog, reports that Apple is preparing a revamped iPod Touch 5th generation for launch this Fall. The site claims that Apple will be updating iPod Touch 5G with an all new design, in-cell touch display technology rumored to be used in iPhone 5, A5 processor and a taller 4-inch display.
As per the rumor, iPod Touch 5G is set to bring the same specs as that of iPhone 4S except the glass back which will be buffed alminum instead.
According to asian source, new iPod touch (5th generation) will have 4 inch LCD which is the same size with coming iPhone 5.
CPU or other spec is considered to be same with iPhone 4S, and has different back-case design, which will be not mirror polished but buffed alminum one. And it seems to be prepared black and white color model.
Apple’s iPod Touch product line has not seen any major change during the last two years, so it won’t come as surpirse if iPod Touch brings better guts and revamped look. From both a manufacturing standpoint, and a consistency standpoint, it makes sense for Apple to introduce a bigger screen for iPod Touch as the iPhone 5 is also expected to bring larger display.
Apple is expected to unveil iPhone 5, iPad mini and iPod Touch 5G this Fall.
