Apple iPad 3 will feature 1GB RAM, which is double the RAM of iPad 2, reports Chronicwire. BGR had published a screenshot of an iPad 3 development unit debug report, which not only confirms LTE connectivity and a Quad-Core A6 processor, now the chronicwire has also uncovered that the leaked photo also hints at 1GB RAM in iPad 3…

Below is the leaked photo of an ipad 3 development unit debug report. The line at the bottom reads:

vm_page_bootstrap: 244276 free pages and 8396 wired pages

and with simple math, chronicwire uncovers that iPad 3 will bring 1GB of RAM. Here’s their simple math calculation:

244,276 (pages) x 4,096 bytes (size of a page) = 1,000,554,496 bytes = 1GB (rounded)

iPad 2 featured a 512MB of RAM, so an upgrade is always welcomed. Apple is going to unveil the upcoming iPad 3/iPad HD today at an even in San Francisco, California.
