YourDailyMac reports that Apple has pushed 11 new profiles for various iPhone carriers that reveal a potential release date of iOS 5.1. The carrier update indicates that Apple may launch iOS 5.1 for iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch on March 9th.
The carrier profile updates are intended for operators in Japan, France, Greece, Finland and Sweden, and usually include updates to the default APN, special dialing codes and other items that will ensure network connectivity after an update is downloaded.
Apple has pushed 3 betas for iOS 5.1 (beta 1, beta 2, beta 3) to the developers but strangely we’ve not seen any update or beta release for iOS 5.1 since first week of January.
As per the screenshot (below) of a carrier profile update, it looks like iOS 5.1 could be released on March 9th which is inline with iPad 3 release date rumors. March 9th falls on Friday, and if we recall the history, Apple launches its new products on Friday.
