Untethered Jailbreak for iPhone 4S / iPad 2 5.0.1 to be Released Next Week

Finally a great news for those iPhone 4S and iPad 2 users eagerly waiting for a jailbreak. Pod2g, the man behind iOS 5.0.1 untethered jailbreak used in RedSn0w and Corona 5.0.1 untether, has reported progress on the iPhone 4S and iPad 2 jailbreak for iOS 5.0.1 firmware.

This is what he tweeted about iPhone 4S jailbreak and iPad 2 jailbreak:

I made a step today for the A5. With some luck we could expect a release in a week.

For those not familiar, iPhone 4S and iPad 2 are called A5 devices because both of these iDevices contains A5 chip.

Pod2g has also advised users to upgrade their iPhone 4S and iPad 2 to iOS 5.0.1. So, go ahead and update your iPhone 4S and iPad 2 to iOS 5.0.1 if you want to avail the upcoming untethered jailbreak from the house of Pod2g.

Yes, upgrade your 4S and iPad 2 to 5.0.1.

*** Update to iOS 5.0.1 before it’s too late. Because you won’t be able to update to iOS 5.0.1 after the availability of any new iOS update (5.0.2 or 5.1) and no 5.0.1 means no jailbreak.

There’s no info on if the jailbreak will be untethered or tethered, We hope that it’ll be an untetehred jailbreak just like iPhone 4S and older devices.

We’ll update you as we learn mroe about this upcoming iPhone 4S and iPad 2 jailbreak. Stay Tuned!
