I did jailbreak just now with redsn0w … semi-tethered … because i didn’t manage to install iOS 4.2 beta 3 … I will wait for geohot (there is a rumors) … at the end he is the best …
if you have white Cydia icon after jailbreak, just repeat procedure with redsn0w but this time choose “Just boot tethered right now” option … I used redsn0w 0.9.6b4 for windows…

My Cydia displays SHSH blobs only for 4.2.1, Tiny umbrella just finds SHSH for 4.2.1 ( not 4.2 beta 3 ). So I am using the tethered JB 0.9.6b4. Will I ever be able to have an untethered Jailbreak that doesn’t require 4.2 beta 3 blobs; will Geohot’s version require these blobs?

I jailbroke my IPAD 3.2.2 with redsnow 0.9.6 and succesfully done. And then i go to Cydia to install application sync. 3.2 after sync. my IPAD reboot and then the cydia icon was gone. but still it can sync. cracked application.
can anybody explain what happen and where is the cydia icon??

You have a tethered jailbreak, not untethered. You have to go to the redsn0w again and chose “Just boot tethered now” you have to that after you turn ur device off everytime
