My wife’s 3G is on 4.1 and jailbroken with Redsn0w 0.9.6b2. When I install Bootlace and then open it, I get an error stating, “Kernel does not match any compatible jailbreaks. Jailbreak with redsn0w or PwnageTool and try again.” I jailbroke it again with redsn0w and the same error occurs.

Anyone else having issues?

corndog November 12, 2010, 8:30 am

Never mind. I found a thread that talked about issues with Redsn0w 0.9.6b2. I used 0.9.6b1 instead and it works just fine.

iPhoneHeat November 12, 2010, 9:12 am

I tested it after JB with RSbeta 2 😀

If most people were smart they would use a 2G or 3G cause they r the easiest to jailbreak, and usually except the most programs

when i downloaded the bootlace then when i am in step 5 lts error then i quickboot my iphone 3g wont turn on plz help me! what should i do?

victox April 24, 2013, 11:15 pm

Same happened to me last night.
After clicking Quickboot my device got bricked, not even turning on at all.
I had to put it in DFU mode and restore the firmware again, as I could not find a smoother way to fix it.

TechManPro May 30, 2013, 5:47 am

How did you put it in DFU mode when it wasn’t turning on?

TechManPro May 30, 2013, 6:11 am

Never mind, I figured it out 🙂 . I’m going to try it again. Lol

clearchrome June 5, 2013, 3:42 am

I also got the same issue
Iphone 3g , jailbreak with 3.1.3 redsn0w
Phone went dead after step 7 …had a error but ignored it before hitting Reboot.

My phone is no more powering up! completly bricked.

HOW did you DFU!??

clearchrome June 5, 2013, 3:57 am

Ok, you need to enter hardware DFU mode ,

Plug in wall charger and press 10 sec power , release all ..nothing will happens and then replug in pc with itunes and do the usual DFU and magic will happen! voila!

Axel 4 July 17, 2013, 6:20 pm

plug it to pc with usb cable, hold power button for 3 seconds, then hold power and home button for 10 seconds and last hold the home button for max 15 seconds and you are in dfu mode
it worked for me 😉
