RedSn0w 0.9.5 b5 has been updated once again to jailbreak iPhone 3G and Jailbreak iPod Touch 2G running iOS 4.0 and now supports Windows. Last release was supported with Mac only because there was no iTunes 9.2 beta supported with Windows which is required to restore iOS 4.0 firmware.
Now, RedSn0w 0.9.5 b5 not only supports Jailbreak in both Windows and MAC it also enables multitasking and wallpaper features of iOS 4.0 for both iPhone 3G and iPod Touch 2G which are disabled by default by Apple.
IMPORTANT:
- RedSn0w is a Jailbreak NOT an unlock.
- RedSn0w 0.9.5 b5 supports both the iPhone 3G and Pod touch 2G (non-MC version).
- Unlockers MUST stay away from RedSn0w because it requires you to update your firmware first which upgrades your baseband resulting in a locked iPhone.If you installed that IPSW, you’ve already lost the carrier unlock until the next planned release of ultrasn0w and blacksn0w.
- RedSn0w 0.9.5 b5 jailbreaks iOS 4.0 GM/beta 4/beta 1.
