Apple’s iBooks app is now available on the iPad App Store. iBooks not only is a book reader but also an online bookstore. So, using iBooks app, you can purchase and read books on your iPad.
iBooks features include:
- Complimentary copy of Winnie-the-Pooh by A. A. Milne
- Read a free sample of any book on the iBookstore
- Change font size, pick from five different included type faces
- Highlight your favorite passages with the built-in bookmarking feature
- Accessibility features such as speaking words on a given page
iBooks Requirements:
- You must own an iPad to use iBooks.
- The iBookstore is only available to customers in the United States.
- An iTunes Store account is required to download from the iBookstore.
- iBooks only supports books published in the ePub electronic book format.
- To add ePub documents from outside the iBookstore to iBooks, they must be DRM-free and synced to iPad using iTunes 9.1 or later.
iBook’s global editions are expected in the near future.
