Apple has reportedly removed all the nearby WiFi networks detecting apps for iPhone and iPod Touch from the App Store. The WiFi detecting apps include WiFiTrack, WiFiFoFum, yFy Network Finder, WiFi Get, WiFi-Where, eWifi, and WiFi Analyzer.
One of the effected developer received the following explaination from the Cupertino about the removal of his app “WiFi-Where” from the app store: “WiFi-Where has been removed from sale on the App Store for using private frameworks to access wireless information”.
This, of course, has added fuel to the jailbreak fire. Many of the affected developer would release their apps on Cydia.
