Scribd, a very popular document-sharing social network, has introduced a “send-to-device” feature which will enable users to send documents to their iPhone or e-readers when away from home or otherwise on the go.
If you do not know, Scribd is a very popular document-sharing social network that connects about ten million documents with a large network of readers. The contents include both pro and not-so-pro material.
There were rumors floating around about the sharing feature in Scribd but now it’s officially announced by the Scribd. Using Scribd “Send-to-Device” feature you can share documents with iPhone, Android, Windows Mobile, Blackberry, Palm, Amazon Kindle, Barnes & Noble Nook, Sony Reader, Cool-er, Entourage Edge, and some other less popular ebook readers.
Now there’s a mobile icon, by clicking it users can send their desired contents to their mobile reader. For instance, you wanna send a document to your iPhone, once you select the iPhone from the list of devices Scribd will ask you the phone number of that particular iPhone where you wanna read the document. Scribd sends the URL of a web-accessible PDF to your iPhone via text service.
