Stay away from any new iPhone firmware including this iPhone OS 3.1 Beta 2. These new firmware fixed the exploits used by UltraSn0w and PurpleSn0w to Unlock iPhone 3G and 3GS. So, Do NOT update your iPhone firmware until the great Dev-Team comes with great new solutions for these new firmwares. Otherwise your baseband will be updated and you’ll be out of luck for a long long time as happened to iPhone 3G users with firmware 2.2.1 in the past. You have been warned.
