Last month, Apple had announced a brand new social video editing app called Clips for its iOS platform and also announced its availability sometime in April. The Cupertino company has now fulfilled its promise and released the Clips app for iOS into the app store.
The Clips app allows you to create square-ish videos that can easily be shared on social media networks such as Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. The app has some cool built-in features such as annotation and automatic transcription is included.
Using Clips, users can record the video from within the application or import media from the Photos library and do the editing like an iMovie. After that user can add some trendy effects to stylize the video to make it ready for the social sharing. The users can easily share these edited videos on various social networks including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and more.
One unique feature on the Clips app is that users can add live titles on the photos and videos by using their voice. To do that, you can add a video/photo to the Clips, choose the Live Titles option, select a style, and then record the title using your voice.
The Clips app is only compatible with iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch devices running iOS 10.3 software version. So, you’ll have to update your device to the latest version in order to use the app.
You can download and install the Clips app for iOS from the App Store for free. The direct App Store link is embedded below.
