The new Apple TV 4 was released on Friday, October 30th, and now Apple has released a very first software update tvOS 9.0.1 for new Apple TV after just over a week of the set-top box availability to the general public.
The tvOS 9.0.1 for Apple TV 4 is available as an over-the-air (OTA) update, as well as a full-sized IPSW file, which weighs at around 922MB in size and can be downloaded straight from Apple’s official servers. The update carries a build number 13T402 and any user running iOs 9 on their Apple TV 4 are advised to install it as soon as possible. The update is only available to latest Apple TV 4, the older generations of the top-box have not received the tvOS 9.0.1 update.
