It is now official that Apple’s upcoming larger 12.9-inch iPad Pro will be available for pre-orders on Wednesday, November 11th in 40 different countries. The largest iPad to date will then be available in Apple retail stores later this week.
iPad Pro specs include some top-notch hardware including a 12.9-inch huge display, Apple’s all-new A9X chipset, and a whopping 4GB RAM module. Such beefy hardware specs do come with an attached cost with the 32GB WiFi only base model being available for $799. The top-of-the-line iPad Pro WiFi + Cellular model with 128GB storage capacity will cost you a whopping $1,079. With such specs, iPad Pro is specifically targeted at business professionals, education and creative folks. All thanks to a pressure-sensitive Apple Pencil, which is an optional accessory.
The official accessories for the iPad Pro, including the Smart Keyboard and Apple Pencil will also be available on Wednesday. The Smart keyboard connects with the iPad Pro via a new Smart Connector positioned at the bottom and turns it into a powerful productivity device. Smart Keyboard in charcoal gray will cost you $169 and the Apple Pencil is $99 in the US.
In an earlier statement, Phillip Schiller, Apple’s SVP marketing said that early response to iPad Pro has been “incredible”:
The early response to iPad Pro from app developers and our customers has been incredible, and we’re excited to get iPad Pro into the hands of customers around the world this week,” said Philip Schiller, Apple’s senior vice president of Worldwide Marketing. “iPad Pro is the most powerful iPad we’ve ever made, giving users the ability to be even more creative and more productive with the epic 12.9-inch Retina display, powerful 64-bit A9X chip and groundbreaking Apple Pencil and new Smart Keyboard. We can’t wait to see what they do with iPad Pro.
Initially, the device will be up for purchase in 40 countries, including the US, UK, Canada, China and Japan.
