It was just yesterday when we posted leaked photos of iPhone 6s front-panel, now M.I.C Gadget – a Chinese website – has come up with new photos of alleged iPhone 6s prototype. The Chinese website claims that they have sourced the photos from an old Foxconn employee.
The published photos only reveal the front side of the alleged iPhone 6s prototype making it difficult to differentiate it from the current generation iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. The Chinese website, however, claims the prototype to be slightly thicker than the iPhone 6 measuring at 7.1mm. iPhone 6 is 6.9mm in thickness.
Rumors have been around for quite some time claiming iPhone 6s to be slightly thicker than the iPhone 6 due to the inclusion of Force Touch – a pressure sensitive display. And this alleged prototype is only adding weight to those rumors.
Even Ming-Chi Kuo of the KGI Securities, who have a great track record at predicting Apple’s yet to be released products, expects iPhone 6s to be slightly thicker and bigger than the current iPhone model due to the Force Touch introduction. He expects iPhone 6s to be 0.2mm thicker and 0.15mm taller than the iPhone 6.
Other than Force Touch, IPhoen 6s is to come with an A9 processor, 2GB of RAM module, 5MP front-facing and 12MP rear facing camera with 4K video recording, and an all new color option. The new color option for iPhone 6s is said to be Rose Gold. Other than this, the iPhone 6s is also said to feature 7000 Series aluminum to address the bend-gate controversy.
If everything goes as planned, Apple is widely expected to unveil its next-generation iPhone models during a media event in coming September.
Are you looking forward to the next-generation iPhone 6s? What’s your must include feature for iPhone 6s?
