New in iOS 9 beta 4: Home Sharing for Apple Music, new iPod Touch Support and more

Apple has released the fourth beta of iOS 9 to the registered developers. iOS 9 is Apple’s upcoming major software update to its mobile operating system for iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch. There are some new changes found in the fourth beta, hit the jump for the details.

Among the few key features added to iOS 9 fourth beta includes Home Sharing feature of Apple Music which was missing since its launch alongside iOS 8.4. Apple’s Eddy Cue had tweeted that the company planned on adding Home Sharing feature of Apple Music in iOS 9.

The 4th beta of iOS 9 fully supports the 6th generation of iPod Touch, making it possible to conduct testing on that device as well. Notifications icon in the Settings has also been changed, which is now a bold red color. The battery icon has also been renewed under Settings.

The 4th beta of iOS 9 also incorporated the fix for the volume button to be used as the camera shutter which was broken in the 3rd beta. Podcasts app also gets Picture in Picture support. This allows users to watch a video while doing other tasks on their iPad.

Handoff feature has been moved within the app switcher interface. Previously, it was available in app carousel.
