How to upgrade to TaiG 2.1.2 to fix Cydia Substrate, if you’re already jailbroken with TaiG 2.0

TaiG team has officially updated their jailbreak to TaiG 2.1.2 to fix the Cydia Substrate in iOS 8.3. The update not only addresses the Cydia Substrate issue, it also fixes the jailbreak process getting stuck at 20%. However, if you’ve already jailbroken your device using TaiG 2.0, there’s no need to re-jailbreak.

TaiG team has pushed an update for the TaiG 8.1.3-8.x Untether package in Cydia for those who have already jailbroken their devices using TaiG 2.0 but experiencing Cydia Substrate incompatibility issues. Those users can simply install the TaiG 8.1.3-8.x Untether package from Cydia to upgrade to TaiG 2.1.2 from TaiG 2.0.

How to upgrade to TaiG 2.1.2 from TaiG 2.0

  1. Please make sure that your device is already jailbroken with TaiG 2.0.
  2. As tweeted by Saurik, TaiG 8.1.3-8.x Untether version 2.1.2 is now available as an update through Cydia’s own repository. Simply open Cydia, let it refresh all its package.
  3. TaiG 8.1.3-8.x Untether package should be available as an update.
  4. Install it, and you’ll successfully be upgraded to TaiG 2.1.2 with Cydia Substrate fixed on iOS 8.3.
