A pair cases allegedly belonging to the rumored iPad Pro has been leaked into the wild ahead of device’s rumored launch this Fall. The leaked cases highlight the size and also hints at numerous new features of the rumored iPad Pro. If these leaked cases turn out to be true, Apple’s upcoming tablet will have dual connection port and stereo speakers.
The cases has been posted by Sonny Dickson, who has an excellent record when it comes to obtaining cases and components of Apple’s yet to be released products. The leaked cases suggest that the iPad Pro will look much similar to its siblings, but the display size will be somewhere between 12.2 and 12.9 inches in size.
The iPad Pro’s design will be very similar to the iPad Air, including an ultra-thin casing and thin bezels. Unlike the iPad Air, the iPad Pro may measure 7mm, which is slightly thicker than the iPad Air but thinner than the iPhone 6 Plus.
The cases posted by Sonny shows that the iPad Pro will have found speaker cutouts – two at the top side of the device, while the remaining two along the bottom edge. Four speaker cutouts suggest that the iPad Pro is going to have significant better stereo speaker as previously reported, and two connectivity ports.
One of the two connection ports on the iPad pro is at the same location you’ll find lightning connector on iPad Air, while the other port is on the side of the device. It’s not known if both the ports will be for Lightning connector, or one of these is a USB-C type port.
The iPad Pro will be Apple’s first attempt to replace your laptop. It’ll not only offer larger display, but also expected to offer split-screen multitasking to target business users by enhancing productivity on the go. Positioning of the ports is also interesting, a USB-C port on the side could mean that Apple may offer docking accessories to pair with the device to make it ideal for office use. A USB-C connection that would allow users to connect to keyboard, hard drive, printer and possibly an external monitor seems like the right idea.
Other rumored specs and features of the iPad Pro includes a tri-core A8X processor, faster charging technology and a better display than the current iPad models. At this point, it’ll be wise to take such leaks with a pinch of salt because cases like these often pop up before the official unveiling of the product, and quite often they turn out to be inaccurate.
