iPhone 6 vs Galaxy S6 Edge Drop Test [Video]

It has become a ritual to brutally test any flagship device by throwing it on the floor from different heights to see what happens to it. We all know that much of the glass shattering occurs when a phone is heartlessly thrown on the floor, but the point of such tests is to check the rate of destruction of a device compared to another. Same is done by EverythingApplePro, a YouTube channel, who have compared iPhone 6 and Galaxy S6 Edge in a drop test video.

Samsung Galaxy S6 Edgecomes with Gorilla Glass 4 protection on both the front and back of the device, while iPhone 6 back is made of aluminum and front is covered with glass. Is the new Gorilla Glass better than its predecessor? Does the curved edges of Galaxy S6 Edge weakens the device protection or can it still take a beating? Does it make the S6 Edge stronger than an iPhone 6? Answers to all these questions or more may be found in a drop test video embedded below.

EverythingApplePro has pit the two flagship phones (iPhone 6 and the Galaxy S6 Edge)against each other in a series of drop tests. First, both devices are dropped on the floor from waist height, then head height, and finally from 10 feet off the ground. Phones are again tested against same heights in face-down drop so that the devices hit the ground directly on their screens.

Which of the two flagship phones fairs better in these brutal drop tests, the Galaxy S6 Edge with curved edges and both sides protected with glass, or the iPhone 6 made up of aluminum back and front covered with glass? Watch the video for yourself. The results may surprise you.

Note: These tests are no way closer to being scientific. In this video, all the tests are performed by an amateur, where both phones being compared are never dropped from the exact same height and they never land exact same way.
