iOS 8.2 beta 5 has been seeded to the developers. If you’re a registered iOS developer, you will find a new beta version of iOS 8.2 available for download. Just like any beta release, the core focus of the fifth beta for iOS 8.2 is on the general bug fixes and performance improvements.
The 5th beta of iOS 8.2 has a build number 12D5480A and comes after about 3 weeks of the availability of iOS 8.2 beta 4. iOS 8.2, once released for public consumption, will bring the support for communication of iPhone, and iPad with the upcoming Apple Watch. Apple Watch is all set to hit shelves this April. With iOS 8.2 supported with WatchKit – developers SDK for Apple Watch, developers can develop apps, Glances, and notifications using the kit.
You can install iOS 8.2 beta 5 over-the-air if your iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch is currently running a beta version of iOS 8.2. The OTA delta update weighs at around 270MB and can be installed by going into Settings > General > Software Update. You can also download full-sized iOS 8.2 beta firmware from iOS Dev Center and can then install iOS using iTunes.
Just like previous iOS 8.2 beta releases, the fifth beta supports the following devices:

The most recent Apple mobile OS available to general public is iOS 8.1.3, which is a small update featuring multiple bug fixes.
