A new case, dubbed as Reach79, claims to boost signal strength up to two times and improve battery life for iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. Reach79 case for iPhone 6 and 6 Plus has been launched by Antenna79 during CES 2015.
Antenna79 claims that their case will improve the battery life of your iPhone 6 and the 6 Plus, because with stronger network signals, the smartphone will not have to work harder to find signals resulting in lesser power consumption. Reach79 users will experience reduced number of dropped calls and enjoy faster download speed over HSPA+/LTE, the company claims. However, the company does mention that the user experience greatly depends on the device, carrier and location.
The case is said to come with an embedded “micro-thin, gold-plated antenna” to boost signal strength and provide military grade drop protection. The patented antenna technology used in the making of this case, by means of passive coupling, pairs with the antennas within a smartphone. Based on the tests conducted at CETECOM, a CTIA accredited facility, the company claims that the case showed a 1.6 times improvement in signal strength topping at 2x the original signal strength.
Reach79 case for iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus is already available for purchase at company’s website. The case is currently available in black color only, with additional covers hitting shelves in the next couple of months. Reach79 for iPhone 6 is priced at $59.99, and while the iPhone 6 Plus version costs $69.99.
