‘Facebook Messenger’, the messaging app tied to the Facebook, has been available for iPhone for quite some time now, but the iPad variant of the app has long been missing. But with the recent release iPad is also getting the love from Facebook with the release of Facebook Messenger for iPad.
Facebook has pushed the version 7.0 of its messenger app for iOS and has added the iPad support in it. Facebook Messenger app for iPad is pretty similar to what it does on an iPhone, however, it takes advantage to the bigger real estate offered by the iPad. On iPad, the conversation threads can be seen on the side, even when you’re chatting with someone in Facebook messenger.
Facebook Messenger version 7.0 comes with a split-screen design for iPad, with contacts pane on the left side of the screen and conversation pane on the right side. Using Facebook Messenger on iPad, you can also make free calls to others, send photos privately, send stickers and emoticons to your friends on Facebook.
Here’s official change-log for Facebook Messenger v 7.0 for iOS:
- Calls are now more reliable.
- Fixed issues so that the list of people active on Facebook shows up faster.
